It was in the year 1940 that (Late) Govind Vasudev Bhave had published the first KULWRITTANT of the Bhave Parivar spread all over the country .The successful but massive effort had also promoted the original concept of establishing a Bhave Mitra Mandal.
The KULWRITTANT was small, limited by the efforts in enumerating all the data pertaining to determining all the lineages of the Bhave Family lines spread all over but the effort was a significant milestone in the journey of the evolution of the Bhave Parivar due to lack of organizational backup, the efforts could generate neither the inspiration nor the motivation to continue the extremely valuable task of identifying chronological lineages of various district branches from innumerable locations. But the idea of consolidating the history of Bhave lineages and of establishing a unity of all Bhave through a Bhave Mitra Mandal survived all hurdles from paucity of resources to sometimes-pathetic indifference to the need to unite.
Exemplary and dedicated efforts, after passages of new decades from the last KULWRITTANT of Bhave Families from Thane, another edition of the KULWRITTANT became a reality. The initiative and Herculean effort in an organized way, a brand new edition of KULWRITTANT was published in the year of 1991 at Pune by the auspicious hands of Honorable Shri.G.N.Joglekar. This was moment of fulfillment of all Bhave s and it will remembered as a significant landmark.
Between 1988 and 1991 two Annual Gatherings of the Bhave Parivar were organized on 15th October,1989 at Thane and on 11th November 1990 at Pune. In 1991 the third Annual Gathering of the Bhave Parivar was organized. This has now become a more regular practice and the Annual Gatherings are becoming resounding successes primarily due to overwhelming response and participation of the Bhave Parivar members from everywhere including from those away from India in foreign lands. The one in Pune in 2006, next one in Kolthare-seat of our Kuladaiwat-Shree Koleshwar in 2007 followed by one in Karjat in 2008 are still being talked about in glowing terms. Local Bhaves become hosts and ably take care of all logistics and administrative arrangement but the guests insists on being treated as locals only. Such unique site of so many of Bhaves coming together in harmony and contributing to the much desired unity is an experience rare in the present times.
The next Annual Gathering is due on Aurangabad between 25 and 26th December, 2009. We will realize our potentials only when we unite and become a force to reckon with. This is the need of time.
