The first ever "kulawrittant" of Bhave Parivar was published in 1940 by (Late) Shri.Govind Bhave. This was an effort to organize the 'Bhave Parivar".
The year 1991 saw next edition of the "kulawrittant" published. This herculean accomplishment was the
outcome of dedicated efforts led by (Late) Dattatreya Lakshman Bhave, Late Madhusudan Pandurang Bhave and
their team. During 1988 and 1991 the time period in which the work was being carried out, the Bhave Parivar had
organized two get-togethers of the Bhave community spread all over. These marked beginning of the process of
consolidation of the community.
It was primarily owing to paucity of resources and funds that this activity could not gather necessary
momentum and the need to unite the community first for its own enlightenment and then for seeking a right place in
the larger community/society, to consolidate and make a mark on the basis of inherent and acquired skills and
talents. Evidently the precursor to such effort was to create greater awareness of being a "Bhave" and a deep-rooted
sense of belonging to "Bhave Parivar". The untapped talents of the members of the community and particularly of
the young generation remained dormant for want of organized efforts and unity in the "Bhave Parivar".
The leaders of the community continued to work in their personal time and at personal expenses to bring
together the members of the community. Having put in efforts for first few years, it was the need of the hour to
achieve a formal organization form. Consequently, "Bhave Mitra Mandal" became a registered TRUST under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950.
Now the activities had to become more serious and systematic. Formal membership drive was launched and
it continues to bring in more and more of the Bhave community to seek membership.
The Bhave Mitra Mandal now has a platform to formally undertake constructive work.
Becoming financially independent and strong is necessary to be able to do such constructive work. The
TRUST during its recent deliberations resolved to establish an earmarked under the name of "SWA-NIDHEE".
Primarily the aims of this fund, to fund and finance the activities of the TRUST and a modest target of Rs. 50 lacs was set in the first instance.
An appeal is regularly made to the members of the Bhave Mitra Mandal to generously donate to this fund for
the benefit of the members of the community. The areas where the earnings of the fund could be applied were
identified and are as follows: Education, Health, Industry and Entrepreneurship and Life emergencies.
The Bhave Mitra Mandal is in the process of obtaining exemption from Income Tax under Sec. 80G for
donations made to the Trust and the matter while pending with the Income Tax department is being followed up.
Our younger generations are struggling to achieve in life. There are concrete plans and programmes to help
youngsters make use of their talents and make a mark in a field of their choice. The future is likely to be individual
focused but the being a part of the community lends the necessary support to realize one's latent potentials. Talents
going untapped or unnoticed are not acceptable. The Bhave Mitra Mandal aims to help you evolve and grow, not
just monetarily but in every possible way and therefore to make it strong is in our own enlightened interests. We look
forward to enthusiastic response from all.
